The trading month doesn’t always end on a Friday but when it does we like to take a look at the monthly charts. Generally, I prefer daily and weekly charts because they have more data points. However, monthly charts carry more significance than weekly charts which carry more significance than daily charts. You get the point. One reason and a good reason we expect the current correction to continue is the sector monthly charts.

This week, Deutsche Bank was under pressure after a Bloomberg report said a small number of hedge funds were trimming their exposure at the German bank.
The stock initially dropped after reports surfaced, which suggested that 10 hedge fund clients are reducing their dealings with Germany’s biggest bank. But in a turn of events, shares of Deutsche Bank jumped 14% Friday after reports that the bank may be near a $5.4-billion settlement with the U.S. Department of Justice. If the reports are true, the settlement would be well below the reported $14 billion opening bid by the DOJ in its talks with Deutsche.

Silver Receiving Attention | Kitco News

(Kitco News) – Gold continues to be supported at the $1,322 area, with silver finding new buying interest as it flirted with the $19 handle overnight. Physical silver volumes picked up to the highest level for the month, as the $19 price point became an attractive accumulation level in Asian markets. Yesterday’s consumer confidence number spurred a bounce in the equity market and took the edge off gold’s safe- haven play but the picture remains frothy and risk remains elevated. Weakness continues to suggest accumulation on dips to be warranted.
